Good hotel near the Royal Opera House in London?

I'm going to watch the ballet with my girlfriend in January. We are both in are twenties and are looking for something a bit luxurious that compliments going to the ROH but doesn't require a loan to get a room! We are hoping to stay 2 nights.

My husband and I always stay at the K%26amp;K Hotel. It is wonderful.
there's a newish travelodge just round the corner for cheap %26amp; not so cheerful, you should get into the Radisson at seven dials for under 锟?00, St Martins Lane hotel has just been tarted up and would be about 锟?0 more. but if you dont mind a stroll over the river then County Hall (at the london eye/south bank/festi hall) is now a decent value travel inn (from 锟?0 if you book early) and mariott (锟?25ish) - if it were me i'd stay there and enjoy the best view in london, walking over waterloo bridge at night, have fun!
